


Turfgrass diseases can cause serious damage if not taken care of. Diseases like Dollar Spot, Red Thread, and others might need to be treated with a turfgrass fungicide to prevent spread of the disease. Below are some pictures of two specific diseases:
DOLLAR SPOT
A close up view of Dollar Spot (above left) shows the yellow hourglass lesions that are associated with Dollar Spot. The yellow spots on the above right picture show what Dollar Spot looks like from a couple feet away. The yellow spots are typically range in size from a couple inches (silver dollar size) to a foot or two in diameter.
RED THREAD

A close up view of Red Thread (above left) shows the red "threadlike" tips of the infected grass. The other picture (above right) shows Red Thread from a little further away. You can still see the redness in the tip. This disease is the easiest to see in the early morning when there is still dew on the ground.
